Mega Bloks® #Barbie Review

I love a good party and I have the most fun when planning my children's birthday parties.  In the past I've hosted themed parties such as Sesame Street, Pirates, Princess and Alice in Wonderland parties.  I love getting creative but I do try to stay within a budget by making a lot of the decorations myself or finding a venue where I can bring my own food and drinks.  Parties can certainly cause a strain on the wallet but by planning ahead you can certainly host a fabulous party without breaking the bank.

 

My daughter turned 6 in February and so in the Fall I went about looking for a party idea.  While surfing for deals at Living Social I found a Clix Photography Glamor Girlz party deal for only $190 - I received a $5 free credit upon sign up as a new member so only paid $185 which entailed 2 hours at a photo studio for 10 girls and I could bring my own food and drinks.  This was perfect as thats $18.50 per girl for 2 hours, no mess or clean up involved and each girl got to take home a magazine cover photo shoot and partake in a runway show.

During the party we had the girls put together the Build 'n Style Pool Party and Build 'n Style Luxury Mansion.  They started off with the pool party and were excited to finish so they could fill the pool and jacuzzi with water and have ken and Barbie take a swim.  The sets allow the girls to design as they please, for example the fashion dolls include interchangeable hair, accessories and clothing styles.  The rooms in the luxury mansion rooms can be switched around to make it a single story building, a six story tower or any combination that the imagination allows. 

 

 

The Glamor Girlz and Mega Bloks Barbie themed party was a huge hit with all the girls.  The parents and children loved the Mega Bloks^® Build 'n Style accessories take away gift and I'm sure their parents will be heading to a store that carries these products.  I can't wait to start planning my daughter's 7th birthday party.
