My son always reminds us when its family game night. He loves playing games and for us it a fun excuse to stop what we are doing and enjoy family time.
I've seen the Bop It! game on the store shelf but it has never made it to my shopping cart. Not sure why because it is so much fun. The game unit challenges you to “Bop it”, “Pull it”, Twist it”, “Flick it”, “Spin it”, and “Shake it” and the order of these 6 commands are random so you’ll have to think quickly to perform the commands as fast as possible to score points. For each correct reponse BOP IT XT will answer with a sound and another command. But if you're not quick enough, or if you respond incorrectly you're out! We had a blast playing this for the first time. I'm afraid I was the slowest because I was laughing so much. I love how it has various modes. A variety of settings allow you or your child to play alone, with a friend, or in groups. Bop It! XT also offers novice, expert, master, and pro levels, making it fun for children of different ages and abilities. We love the party mode. Any time a body part is called out, the "BOP IT!" button has to be hit with that part of the body. Who says kids has to have all the fun?

I love listening to music - I'm afraid I'm not into the lyrics as much as I am into the tune, however with that said my music taste can span several music genres from pop, hip hop to country music. As long as it has a catchy tune then I'm a happy bee. My niece are huge country music fans and have been to many Rascal Flatt's concerts. When a Rascal Flatts DVD review came up I signed up quickly as I wanted to hear what all the fuss is about. When I told my niece that I was soon to review their new DVD Changed she was jealous and wanted my copy ASAP.
Rascal Flatt's newest album, changed hit the stores on April 3rd. The band comprises of singer Gary LeVox, bassist Jay DeMarcus and guitarist Joe Don Rooney. They have been a country music sensation and Changed is their eighth studio album and their first with brand new material in 2 years. Since their musical debut in 2000, the band has sold over 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 13 #1 singles to the top of the charts. I'm not sure where I've been all this time but this is the first Rascal Flatt's album for me and I really enjoyed the album.

I have a 1st grader and a pre-schooler at home and finding age appropriate TV programs is sometimes a challenge. While there are a lot of fun TV programs out there it can be hard to find those that are actually age appropriate and can keep both my children entertained at the same time. If I had my way we'd still be watching Barney but this doesn't work for my adventurous and boisterous children. One program that they both love to watch is the sweet natured Caillou. Caillou is featured on the PBS channel and is watched by over 4 millions viewers each month.

We enjoyed the garden episode as we can relate to that episode because we already have our own organic garden - we haven't made a scarecrow yet so my children are now eager to gather scrap clothes to make their own scarecrow. Its nice to find shows that allow kids to be kids and to encourage them to use their imagination.

As a working mom, my children have been in day care from a very young age. I love picking them up from school, especially when they leave with their artwork. They are so proud of their work and I love pinning them to the fridge door and taking them to work for all to see. I save the really neat ones and its great to flick back and see the progression in their skills. Its funny to see how they draw people. My children have progressed to drawing stick people with hands and clothes.
As we are moving closer to Mother's Day (May 13th) and Father's Day (June 17th), I'm starting to plan ahead and think of gifts for my Mom and Dad and for my husband from the children plus small token gifts for the granparents and godparents. The best gift has to be from the heart. The ones that were chosen by my children and even the free ones such as drawings and hand made cards because they are priceless. I'm sure you are inunndated with priceless drawings as I am and it does break my heart to secretly recycle a majority of their artwork however, this Mother's Day or Father's day consider turning your child's artwork into everlasting memories.
