This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
In this economy saving money on just about everything is a necessity and is achievable with a little know-how. Food, drinks and clothes are an easy one as there are coupons in the Sunday paper that we can use in-store on top of a store sale. Plus online store printable coupons and rebates often means even more savings on the same product. Even ways to save on necessities such as medication is possible. Often drug stores will entice you to bring your prescription in or transfer your prescription with a gift card offer. Some drug stores will honor competitor Rx coupons too so look out for these at the drug store or in your local paper. Other ways to save on prescriptions involve joining prescription saving clubs.
Walgreens is offering a special discount on annual membership for their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. For just $35 a year you can get a family membership (everyone in your immediate family including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and even pets) and receive significant savings on more than 8,000 brand name and all generic medicine ($20 for individuals). Other member benefits include ddiscounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies. Plus bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services.
The best part is the Prescription Savings Club membership is risk free. If you don't save more than the cost of your membership during the course of the year of your membership, then they'll refund the difference.
That kind of saving is worth looking into! Support your local Walgreens and follow:
While Punxsutawney Phil (PA Ground hog) saw his shadow this week which means 6 more weeks of winter it doesn't matter to me as I already have my summer vacation planned out. That alone has me thinking past winter and straight onto summer bypassing spring. We're heading back to England this summer for a family vacation. My friend is getting married so we're excited to go to the wedding (kid friendly wedding too) and also see my family and friends. This trip is not going to be cheap especially with the Olympics taking place in London this summer but where there is a will there is a way.
A cheap holidays is hard to come by but with some planning this can be achieved. If heading abroad purchase your airline ticket more than 6 months ahead of time - preferably a year in advance. This will also give you flexibility in your seating arrangements especially if you have special need for the bulk head or a large party to accomodate.
While many swear by Dave Ramsey's non-use of credit cards I'm afraid I do the opposite. I'm pretty good at balancing the books at the end of the month and that savings cushion sure helps. So a credit card works for me as not only does it mean I don't have to carry wads of cash in my already overfilled wallet thats taken over by coupons but I also make a little extra for spending on my card. We put everything on our card each month and this has resulted in us bring able to cash out and use the money towards 4 airfare tickets.
Google your international destination and look for free events. Simply walking around and sightseeing is a free event. Most museums offer free entrance and this is often a welcome to those who want to get out of the elements and relax. Often walking the unbeaten path away from touristy areas will save you money as you pay local prices instead of artificially inflated tourist prices. Staying a little further out of the main town will also reduce your hotel bill.
Consider participating in a house share to cut costs. There are many sites out there to help you find the perfect match. It will be a home away from home as you'll have access to all the conveniences of your home but be in someone else's instead.

My Father-in-law will soon celebrate his 80th birthday. What better present to get for an 80 year old Irish man than Funny Irish T-Shirts. My Father-in-law, like many Irish men loves a good beer and so this t-shirt from Kiss My Shamrock just made his day. The thick quality of the t-shirt was great - don't you just hate those cheap cotton shirts in the store these days. Most you have to wear an extra tee because its so thin. St Patricks Day is not far away (March 17th) so I'm sure my father-in-law will be wearing this down to his bar around St Patrick's Day.
Last year my husband and I took a trip to Ireland and loved hanging out at the bars and the Guinness was just so delicious fresh from the tap. You have to try it as you can definetely taste the difference - no bitterness. I would love to experience St Patrick's Day in Ireland but I heard its a much difference experience than over the pond. Are you all set for your St Patrick's Day fun? Head over to check out the huge selection of Funny Irish T-shirts. Its so huge I had trouble locating the Lets Get Ready to Stumble t-shirt.
Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

What does Valentine's Day mean to you? For me its a hallmark holiday i.e. a day where the sentiments get lost among the gift buying and spending just because Valentine's Day is thrown in our face everywhere we go. Don't get me wrong I love being taken out to dinner by hubby and roses sent to my work but I don't think that it should happen all on one day - it should be spontaneous because thats when you know that someone really cares and not just following the trend.
For example, on Chinese New Year last week I received red roses at work. I was totally not expecting this at all and when I got the call from the front desk I was just grinning from ear to ear. Was it that secret admirer or my hubby? It was from hubby : ) the reason why I say secret admirer is not because I have one but because my husband doesn't usually buy me flowers except for occasions such as my birthday or anniversaries but for him to send them to me out of the blue is just so exciting and tells me he cares. We're approaching our tenth year of marriage this June and after two kids, busy work and kids schedules its hard to keep the romance up and its little spontaneous things like that, which takes me back to our courting days. Take the time to reconnect with your loved one with some fun products from EdenFantasys.
Check EdenFantasys out and see what you can find for you and your significant other. I like the feature where you can choose certain price ranges to fit your budget.
One (1) Lucky Freebie Junkie winner will win a $25 GC to EdenFantasys. Simply enter to win through the rafflecopter form below.

Its disturbing how diseases are on the up and up and no one contributing factor can be assigned to each illness. I'm sure with the fast paced lives we all lead, fast foods, on the go and long lasting products are a contributing factor mixed in with environmental hazards and global warming. I wouldn't say I was completely green or organic but I am aware and do try to provide fresh home cooked foods and engage in organic gardening during the summer. I have sensitive and dry skin and my children have inherited this trait so body and facial products have to be allergenic free and free of fragrances. While its annoying to have sensitive and dry skin it does have its hidden benefits i.e. no nasty chemicals are allowed on our skin. I'm always on the lookout for new products and was excited to be given the opportunity to review EcoStore USA products.
EcoStore USA creates a range of plant and mineral based cleaning products without dangerous and toxic chemicals. In addition they produce a line of Bath and Body, baby and even pet products. They strive to bring the most natural products that they can without the use of unnecessary or unsafe chemicals.
My initial thoughts upon receiving these items were these are no frill packaging! I must admit I'm conditioned now to expect fancy bright packaging but we have to remember to think about the inside. Beauty lies within the beholder. The body wash fragrance while midly fragrant was pleasant and as described on the bottle does a goob job in leaving my skin feeling soft and silky. Most of the time I lean towards baby products for my own skin so the aromatherapy baby moisturizer is nice to put on before bed and after a shower. Its pretty relaxing and soon puts you in a good mood to sleep. I loved moisturing my kids up as babies right after bed as the aromatherapy products would put them in a deep sleep soon after leaving me to a restful night.
Once EcoStoreUSA reaches 10,000 fans on facebook they will giveaway a years free products to 3 Winners! PLUS enter the Be a winner and go like them here. They are sooo close to 10,000.
YOU BREAK UP and WE’LL MAKE UP Valentine’s Day Contest that is posted on their facebook wall.
Disclosure: Thank you to EcoStoreUSA for the review products, all opinions were of my own, others may vary.
