I love to travel but now with two little ones our travel is limited for the time being! It doesn't stop me from compiling my list of places to visit though. Once the kids are old enough we'll resume our international travels as the world is our playground. There's nothing better than to learn new things than to experience it yourself. No text book or internet search will ever replace actual experience.
South Africa is in my top 10 places to visit. I was born and raised in England and so I am familiar with the history of South Africa but have yet to make my way over while living in England. Located at the southern tip of Africa, it is divided into nine provinces, with 2,798 kilometres (1,739 mi) of coastline on the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
The top 10 places to visit in South Africa according to the South African Tourism website are:
Cape Town & Cape Peninsula
The Winelands
Garden Route
Johannesburg
Kruger National Park
Durban beachfront
Robben Island
Soweto
Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve
Wild Coast
Being a wine drinker I would most certainly want to visit the Winelands and of course Cape Town and Cape Peninsula for the city life. As with all foreign countries and even your own country plan ahead to stay out of trouble. Plus you'll save yourself money and can budget accordingly. Go online and book cheap car hire in South Africa. There's so much to see and do and we always like to maximize our time so a car hire seems worth it to me, especially when you can save some money at the same time.
Life is short, go figure out a way to make things happen. If there is a will, there is a way...
