Go Nutrisystem 10-Day Challenge #NSNation - Breakfast
I lead a sedentary life at work, my job doesn't require me to move a lot, just plug away at my computer and so this sedentary behavior has lead me to get back into shape as my weight has slowly crept up these past few years. Although I have two little ones who definetely keep me on my toes, my snacking habits throughout the day has also contributed to my weight gain. I'm aware that a combination of diet and excercise will not only help me to be where I should be on the scales but also help me live a longer life.
I've heard good things from friends who've been on Nutrisystem and so when I was accepted into the 10 day Nutrisystem Blogger program I was excited to start. I received a fabulous box full of frozen food's from Nutrisystem. If you are not home during the day like me its no problem to receive frozen food on your doorstep as the food is carefully packaged to sit out on the door step until you get home. The premise of Nutrisystem is portion control and this is achieved by their food plan.
I received frozen food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time. I will be posting my favorite food from each of these meals. I'll start today's post with breakfast which is the most important meal of the day.
BREAKFAST
During the weekend, I typically eat a bowl of cereal with 2% milk, or low fat oatmeal and occasionally will splurge with a pastry or breakfast sandwich. The weekend is my weakness as we often go out for breakfast or my husband will cook a mean breakfast. So portion control is required especially at weekends. The breakfast items I received in my pack included French Toast, Pancakes, omelets and breakfast burritos. My favorite was the breakfast burrito which combines eggs with red and yellow peppers, along with beans, all in a flour tortilla. It's pretty hearty that heats in just minutes in the microwave. At only 210 calories and 4g of fat its a good healthy and yummy start to the day. While I was worried that I'd be hungry mid morning on only 210 calories I realised its ok to have a snack mid morning to prevent cravings - again its all down to portion control. There's no need to skimp on taste.

Whle my lashes are black they are neither thick, luscious or long and need a helping hand from my old friend the mascara. The L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator involves a two step lengthening mascara professionally developed to illuminate your eyes. Step 1: Lengthen & Intensify, Step 2: Illuminate. I'm impressed with this new product and although I prefer the primer in the L'Oreal Double Extend product the combination of the three will make for thick luscious and long lashes.

Raw Vegetables never looked so yummy with Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dips
At parties you'll always find some kind of dip. Dips are the best as these are the times when you'll find adults and children alike eating raw vegetables of their own free will. Of course moderation in how many times you dip is needed as the positive health benefits of raw vegetables can be negated by the calorie laden dip involved. However, this can be avoided when using Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dips.

Shiver Me Timbers - Pirate Costume Review from Costume SuperCenter
Halloween is a fun time for costume dress up, but the costumes are not wasted as they get used all throughout the year. Each child has a trunk that is filled with their halloween costumes and any time we have a playdate they go through the trunk and I'll find a lovely surprise.
I love seeing them use their imagination and of course their smile as they play out their characters. My son will be turning 6 in a couple of months so we've been planning early and Pirates will be the theme. We held a Pirate birthday party a few years back so I'm glad that I can reuse the party decorations and accessories that I had saved.
