The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday® created by American Express is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
Buying local. It's an easy way for us to support our communities, feed the economy and help create jobs. If you're planning on shopping that weekend anyway, why not take a break to eat at a local restaurant and do some good for your community?

I live close to a quaint town and we love heading their for dinner or just browse the stores. There is such a friendly atmosphere and close knit community feel. A lot of these small businesses also give back to the community while the big box brands give back to their CEO's and board members!
