One way we stop to spend quality time together is we make a weekend trip to NYC each 1st weekend of December.  We use my husband's hotel reward points from all the traveling that he does all year and then splurge on a FREE room.  Then we hit the rockerfeller center, fifth avenue stores, lego store, M&M store and Dylan's candy store. We've been doing this ever since my son was 7 months old and the kids love the time we spend together.
