Build a Dream Playhouse Review & Giveaway

My children have always wanted to do a lemonade stand, we live on a cul de Sac so any traffic would be local to our neighborhood.  My work has always encouraged donations to charity and so far we've raised a lot of money towards the American Red Cross / Japan Tsunami Relief Fund.  So, a lightbulb clicked on and I thought it would be fun to host a cookie and lemonade fundraiser and get the kids involved in raising funds for the American Red Cross to aid the people of Japan who are going through this double disaster.  Kids are never too young to learn to give back to their community and even to international communities.



BuildaDreamplayhouses.com kindly offered a snack shack as the lemonade stand.  When we received it, the kids were really excited for it to be put together.  I put it together myself with ease and the interlocking pieces were simple to figure out and pretty sturdy considering two kids who pushed against it all day long.  We chose our local Icecream store (Chubby's Dairy Barn) as our venue, thank you to Jesse for letting us use his wonderful space, his generous donation and of course taste his yummy icecream... 

The fundraiser was a success and we raised $100 (which will be matched) and still counting.... every little helps.  The kids had a blast and this was a great learning experience not only in making cookies & lemonade and fundraising but learning to count money and saying please and thank you to their customers. Thank you to Build a Dream Playhouses for their snack shack which received so many compliments during the event.  You can purchase your own here - there are many other designs to choose from such as Pop N' Play Kitchen, Cosmic Cruiser and Imagine Wagon - what will you use yours for?
