I wish I could say I was one of those lean people that could eat like a horse and stay stick thin - do they really exist except on the cover of a magazine? I'm a regular working Mom with a pear shaped body womanly curves and have to work hard at keeping those curves in check, especially with a sedentary job. My goal for this year is to score enough Amazon gift cards through swagbucks, surveys and blogging activities to enable me to order an ipad. Then I'll strap that bad boy onto my elliptical dashboard and be able to workout and blog at the same time. You may laugh but I exist on such little sleep during the week nights lately and I still have a million and one things to do, so if by multitasking I can cross off two items in one fell swoop then I'll take it. I'm a firm believer that you do have to work hard to stay healthy and fit and it requires balance of diet and excercise. If there was one quick and simple fix, wouldn't we all be walking around with a six pack and in a bikini? Jennifer Aniston doesn't stay looking like she does with a miracle pill, its called a personal trainer, yoga and the zone diet. Unfortunately for a majority of us, the money for a personal trainer and chef is not readily available.

In our busy society today we lose focus of what we eat and our bodies as we work hard to live the American dream. Reading this book reminds me that I have to feed and work on my body first. Its a wonderful and easy read and certainly one that I will be referring to often as I continue to keep my curves in check.
