Our Fun Free Day

I'm reporting back on our Fun Free Day

We hit Lowes at 10am and the kids had a blast making their bug box.  The Recommended age for attendees was Grades 1st - 5th - however my son who is 5 had no issues putting this together by himself.  My daughter needed help but had fun hitting the nails in.  There were a lot of other parents and kids there who were not in these grades too.

The kids also picked up their free apron, goggles, badge and certificate plus we all got a free Wendy's Frosty Slurpee Jr coupon (even the adults- yay).  I was very impressed by the activity and will definetely take the kids back. 

 The next Lowes activity is on August 21st and you can make a free school bus pencil box (get them in the mood for back to school).  Sign your kids up here.

The one after that is on 9/11 and you'll get to build a free Pet Leash holder

Home Depot has a similar free Build it program offered on the first Saturday of each month at all stores.

So we headed to Wendy's after for a quick bite and a slurpee.  Then onto the Disney Store.  We got there 15 minutes early and got into the event just in the nick of time as it was restricted to a certain number of kids.

The kids got to color in Phineas and Ferb

Then we watched a Phineas and Pherb Cartoon.

We got the Perry the Platypus inactive figurine but decided to take it home and work on it on Sunday as there was really no space to work with it at the store.

We didn't make it to Borders for "The adventures of Ook and Gluk" as we were all a bit pooped after the morning of fun activities.

If you spend a little time on the net you will be amazed at how many free activities there are for adults and kids in your local area.  I'm all about making lasting fun memories with my kids and these free events help make them a little more sweeter for my purse strings.

Tommorow, as well as making the Perry the Platypus inactive figurine, I'll be making candy Gummies with the kids.  Glee Gum is a sponsor of my Blogmania 2010 giveaway extravaganza and the kids and I will be reviewing the candy making kit in order to report back and promote my early giveaway entries.  Be on the look out for this post.

Plus I need to squeeze in some more canning.  I have a big basketful of plum tomatoes ready to be canned, plus cucumbers ready for pickling.  No rest for the wicked ; )

Make some fun money with Surveys - $15 cash survey giveaway too - enter now

While I'm on the internet emailing or surfing deals I multitask and also try to fill out a few surveys.  While these online surveys are not going to let me give up my dayjob and make me rich, it does provide me with ways to earn a little fun money and also sometimes I get to try out new products and earn some extra money.

There are so many online survey companies that I thought I'd list out a few here for you.  Don't try to sign up for them all as you'll be overwhelmed by emails and also as I said it won't make you rich so concentrate on one or two and do all their surveys so you can cash out quicker as some sites require a minimum number of points or cash accumulation to cash out.  It can be frustrating but stick with one or two and see how it goes.

So many free kids events for Saturday 14th

Saturday will be a busy day for the kids and I.  Hubby is away on a business trip so the kids and I are on a  playdate with a friend and traveling all around to the following free events.  We're so excited!

10am - attending a Lowe’s Build and Grow clinic to make a free wooden project.  Each participant will also receive a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.  Also, each participant will get a coupon for a Free Wendy’s Jr. Frosty too.

August 14th - make a free bug box

12PM - Head to Wendy's for lunch to use our free Wendy's Jr. Frosty from the Lowe's Clinic

1PM Then we're heading to the mall to the Disney Store to Make a Perry the Platypus Inaction Figure. Minimum age for participation is 3 years. Event subject to change or cancellation without notice.  Call your local store to confirm participation. While supplies last.

Coupon Sign ups

I love couponing and the best part is, there are so many different ways to get coupons.  I think the easiest way is through online sign ups or printable websites.  Not only do you save yourself gas to drive yourself to get the weekend paper but with a few clicks of your mouse in your comfort of your home you can get coupons delivered to your mailbox (snail mail and/or email) or printer all for free.  

Just a few hints though - set yourself up with a new email account (e.g. gmail) so that you can send all sign up email to this account.  This way you are not clogging up your regular email with junk emails.  Believe me, the sign ups will send you emails on a daily basis and while its easy to unsubscribe - do you really have time to unsubscribe to a million different companies?

CVS has the B1G1 SOBE water sale again starting this Sunday.  Yahoo!

Print the B1G1 coupon Sobe water coupon here (if you haven't already done so).  You can print two per computer.  Also play the SOBE game each day to see if you can score a B1G1 printable coupon.  I've printed so many.  I love free drinks.  Luckily my stores take a B1G1 coupon for a B1G1 sale.  Hope yours does too.
