Sam’s Club announced on their Facebook Page that they are giving all new members who join between now and August 1st a $20 gift card (membership starts at $40 a year)!

They also offer collegiate memberships for college students. When students sign up for a new or renew their existing membership, they will receive a $15 gift card. Plus anyone who refers a student to Sam’s Club will get a $10 gift card when they purchase their collegiate membership.  So Mom's sign up your kids!

Review: On Demand Learning

My children who are 5 and 3 are so tech savvy, they can manoeuvre a mouse, find letters and numbers on the keyboard, start up my itouch to watch icarly and spongebob and play blow up puffer fish.  Isn't that crazy? In my day (oh my, I'm sounding like my Mom) I got a manual type writer when I was a tween and had access to a computer at high school for projects.  At college, instant message was this DOS system with a black screen and flashing > key (remember that LOL).  

Are we supposed to embrace technology with the igeneration?  I'm all for embracing technology, this is the way of the future - there's no going back now.  Can you live without facebook and twitter?  can you live without your cell phone and texting?  Of course we need to set the boundaries and ensure our children are guided through the high tech world in an appropriate manner.

To reach out to the igeneration in their high-tech, high-touch world, many parents and educators are looking at how to rewire schools to match how the iGeneration learns.

There is an online website http://www.onlineschoolsolutions.com/, which gives middle and high school students (and their school districts) new options to learn.  With lots of schools facing budget cuts with the current economic climate, students are increasingly able to take online classes in partnership with their local school districts.  View a video and demo and decide if this is a solution or option for your children.  I'm all for empowering our children, our future.  With a loving home, good moral values and good standing education, every child should be truly nourished.

Ways to Save Series 4: Save $300-$500 a year

You're probably thinking what's up with the 4th measurement?  Fortunately, I will not be divulging my body measurements here.  These are the recommended tire pressure measurements for my car. 
Do you know yours? 

I'm a BzzAgent and I'm working on the Michelin Tires BzzCampaign and I tied this BzzCampaign with my Ways to Save series.  Here you'll learn how to save yourself $300-$500 per year and also if you are in need of some new treads then we have a $70 rebate form, read on....

FACT: A majority of cars on U.S. roads are operating on tires inflated to only 80 percent of capacity.

FACT: Poorly Inflated Tires Increase Fuel Costs and Emissions. 

FACT: The average person who drives 12,000 miles yearly on under-inflated tires uses about 144 extra gallons of gas, at a cost of $300-$500 a year.

FACT: Any vehicle running on soft tires is contributing as much as 1.5 extra tons (2,880 pounds) of greenhouse.

FACT: Fully inflated tires are safer and less likely to fail at high speeds

So what shall we do:

• Check Tire Pressure Monthly and When Tires are Cold
• The correct air pressure for tires that come with new vehicles can be found either in the owner’s manual or inside the driver-side door. Beware, though, that replacement tires may carry a different PSI rating than the originals that came with the car. Most new replacement tires display their PSI rating on their sidewalls.
• Tires must be replaced when the tread is worn down to 2/32 of an inch

The Limited $10 in free Fashion Cash

Today The Limited Store will be handing out $10 in free cash today till Sunday.  You have to mention the promotion to get the coupon but I'm sure they'll be handing them out too.

This is one of my favorite clothes store for work and fun clothes, I only buy when its on sale and I have a coupon as the regular prices are a bit high for my liking.  Finally a store with fashion that fits my age and lifestye.

The free $10 cash coupon cannot be used on clearance or sale items though, but Hip2save mentions that she found hairclips for $10.50 so after coupon and tax = 54 cents. 

I'm not in need of hairclips but I'll certainly be searching for a deal today

Free KFC Grilled Doublicious

My friend and I picked up our free KFC Grilled Doublicious at lunch today.  We were hesitant what with the last KFC/Oprah fiasco, but they took the printed email to try a free Doublicious* without hesitancy.  If only, they were fast on the service - but thats another story for another day.

I picked up the Grilled Chicken and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.  The bread used is the Hawaiian bread which gives it a sweet taste while the savory taste comes from the chicken and condiment sauce.  A nice combination and a nice freebie.
