YAY - I'm featured on the Totally Tuesday Blog Hop

For my fellow bloggers, you should all be familiar with blog hops - if not then blog hops are fun - you get to meet new bloggers and if you like their site you follow them through google friend connect.  Some will return the favor and follow you back helping you increase your readership.

For my readers you should be familiar with google friend connect (GFC using google reader).  If not, then google reader is kind of like an electronic magazine but for blogs.  You can easily read the latest and greatest articles from blogs that you choose to subscribe to.  For me, I follow a lot of blogs through GFC so I can find out what their latest giveaways is so I can enter their giveaways and plus there are some interesting blogs out there with many themes such as frugal, shabby chic and cooking etc..

So when you see a contest giveaway asking to follow through google friend connect, this is what they are referring to.  Its so easy, find the google friend connect button usually found on the side bar and sign up.  Mine is found on the right hand side.  Since I have blogger and also a gmail account, I automatically have google reader built into my blogger account and I keep track of new blog articles.  Otherwise, just sign into google reader and follow all the blogs that take your fancy and this way you can be there as soon as a new article pops up.  Sometimes my freebie deals are so time sensitive that by the time I sign up and then post, you only have a matter of minutes to grab that freebie before it expires.
